Working as part of the masterplan team for this proposed residential redevelopment in the heart of Chelsea to provide houses and luxury apartments.

An exciting project to create a integrated landscape scheme across the whole site including the main roof gardens around the foyer, public realm planting and a private courtyard to the rear of the houses.

The key themes for the planting were taken from the sweeping curves of the building that influenced the planting types and layout to provide a sense of movement throughout. This was coupled with a desire to filter the views in and out of the site which led to the use of ephemeral plant types.

Incorporating biodiversity was an important element for the client at the outset of the project particularly focusing on planting that was attractive to birds, bees and butterflies.
