The design and installation of a soft landscape scheme on multi-levels, across a new building.
The inspiration for the design came from the College’s own copy of the ancient text, The Red Book of Hergest. This book details the many plants and herbs that were used at the time and their properties.
This formed the basis of the plant selection, with advice from medical herbalist Jo Dunbar, a scheme was created that would provide all year round colour and interest, as well as tell a story for the college.
The majority of the planting is within stand alone planters and so the technical aspects of creating a successful and long term planting scheme given these conditions also played a huge part in the final plant selection.
